If you've been following the development of the Convergent Designs XDR Flash recorder, it's most recent FAQ shows this to be the perfect field solution for recording the HD-SDI out of the Canon XL-H1. THis seems to be the perfect solution now, espcially now that it incorporate phantom powered XLR inputs thar sample audio at 24bit/48Khz and then combines it with the HD-SDI video and timecode before laying it onto the flash cards.
