Hey guys. I've got real problems with the JVC Capturing in Mac. actually, I'm sick of the DVscap, and conversion workflow, that took hours to capture and convert. I am looking at capturing the Footage direct to my Macbook pro. However, I looked at several softwares, and none of them actually support the JVC capture directly to a Mac. Any suggestions what kind of Software I should use?
Many thanks

well im ready to check out adobe premier or the DTE option.. or even (GASP), pick up a windows box. if you do go DTE, get the infocus HD-100 model line or at least the Pro line... (since both the Pro line and the HD-100 series capture in quicktime wrapper format so FCP can edit directly without having to import/rerender etc.

Thanks Alex. I was thinking to buy the Hd100. However today I found out that imovie kinda does the job, without sound though. I need to figure a way to get the sound in and sync with the video.

Aaron Hi,
I am running the 101 here in Wellington NZ with the infocus HD100 and its been a bloody dream. If you are ever in Welllington drop me a line and you can try it out if you want.

If you've got the latest version of Final Cut Pro you won't need that DVHSCap workflow as it all works fine.

Hi Sam, nice to hear a JVC user in NZ,Hope we can meet up some day~:)
And Liam, it's been nightmare for me to capture the JVC HVD 25P in FCP 6.0.1. There were timecode breaks all the way till the end of the tape. I am running the FCP in Mac pro, and i have to sit at the Mac to watch the the whole capturing process and press capture now every several minutes. Would it really the tape's problem? but I am using the JVC ProHD tapes!!!! Man never been easy using JVC.
