Hey, my first question for you guys. I own a JVC GYHD250 and i have noticed that if the iris is not just right...say i have it a little under exposed it seems the focus pulls soft. If i bring it up a touch over the auto setting this takes care of it. Of coarse this is only while shooting outside at c.t. of 5200-5600.
Is this normal.
By the way, great to be able to post. I am a freelance videographer in Lou, KY. I shoot long form car commercials (15 min drive thru) and lots of other stuff for local cable company. I have already used this sight a lot and have even ordered a videographer guide to the HD1100 and 250(i forget the author, book is in my porta brace bag). Thanks for the service and getting us all better.
Shoot well,
Mark Cowherd

Mark,
It has to be the other way around.
If you underexpose the focus get sharper because the dof is increasing. This has nothing to do with the color temp. Are you sure that you are using the right ND filter when shooting outside? Try to avoid F11 +. Rather put an extra ND.
Good luck,
Eugen
