Is there a tutorial on Compressor 3.0.2 anywhere? I can only find 2.1 on Lynda.com and the interface is very different.
I am new to Compressor so any thing will help.

Let me ask the question this way. How similar is Compressor 2.1 to 3.0.2?

The best reference material I've seen is the "Compressor 3 Quick Reference Guide" - Brian Gary. While it doesn't come with a DVD-tutorial disc it does cover everything you need to know including Qmaster setups.

Hi Paul.
Sorry for my delay in answering, but I got thrown off a bit until I realized that you are simply asking for tutorials on Compressor 3 as opposed to Compressor 2. Compressor 3.0.2 is simply a maintenance update. (For all we know, Apple could release 3.0.3 next week and then 3.1 after that, etc., etc. No training company would be able to keep up with providing specific tutorials for each maintenance update!)
The good news is that you already own 4 video training tutorials on Compressor 3. They are called "Overview of the Interface", "Encoding for the Web", "Encoding for DVD" and "Advanced Features".
If you look in your FCS 2 installation discs, there will be one called "Apple Pro Training - Final Cut Studio - DVD Tutorial".
That's where you'll find the Compressor 3 tutorials and you can either play them as a DVD or go the the ROM folder on the disc and drag the folder called "Drag this folder to iTunes" to iTunes and it will copy each movie onto your hard drive.
I'm sure the book mentioned by Robert will be much more comprehensive though (Brian Gary is an excellent trainer on Compressor).
