Anyone have any luck with the 8GB SxS rebate?
When I sign up as a member and try the link for the 8GB card, it errors with
"An error has occurred on the Rebate-Zone website."

Here's another link regarding the additional 8GB card that claims the site will be active on December 15 (but such is not the case).

Using your link, without signing up as a member yet, I clicked straight through to the 8GB SxS card offer, but stopped before continuing beyond "accepting the terms and conditions" page. That's where I read the date requirements. It states that the purchase must be made between Dec 1, 2007 and March 31, 2008. My deal was done on November 26. I feel certain Sony will honor the rebate, but I sent an email asking for clarification just in case.

This leads me to believe that the "real" rebate site must be as posted above (it says "now until March 26th, 2008"). Either way, I sure could use the additional card yesterday!

Does this site error for you during the registration for the card?https://www.rebate-zone.com/default.asp?PN=SY00122k7

It lets me create an account, but that's about it.

It is now December 17th in The People's Republic of California ;-) and I just successfully completed the rebate form to get the additional SxS card.

Once you fill out your contact information and some information on the EX1, you will be taken to a page that you need to print. That page has instructions on it that tell you to cut out the various UPC bar codes from the EX1's shipping box and attach the chunk of cut-out cardboard to the form that you just printed, include a copy of your invoice/receipt from the dealer where you purchased the EX1, and then stick everything in an envelope and send it off to Minnesota somewhere to be processed.

Of interest is that there was no survey to fill out, unless there is some other button that I have to click on to get to the survey.

I still get an error page...

I feel like I'm tying to end service with AOL in 1998..... this is an unforgetable experience.

FYI, I sent yet another email to Sony today to verify that the rebate date had been revised to reflect purchases prior to December 1. Same copy/paste answer:

"Unfortunatly we would not be able to process your submission if the purchase date was outside the promotion dates of December 1st, 2007 - March 31st, 2008."

Guess the minions haven't gotten the word yet.

The link for the survey only takes you to the rebate-zone SxS card rebate page. Has anyone actually seen an on-line survey? I was able to complete the SxS rebate offer without ever seeing any type of survey.

Also, does registering for the rebate register your camera with Sony?

Now that's a good question!
