I received information with the XL-H1 about joining the club. I don't know now if they still called it the XL-H1 Club or still the XL-1 club as in the old days. I sent in the paperwork, but it has been almost a year and I haven't heard anything.

It may be possible that if one joined originally ( I did when I got the XL-1s) that the H1 is simply added to the data base and that one is covered when the camera is sent in.

Has anyone had experience with this matter?

there was an insert about it in my XL-H1 box but it as usual is unavailable to Canada...

I e-mailed Canon support. They replied with the membership number. It has been almost a year since I registered but never received any further information until now and I still have no info. package, but with the number I'll be good to go for sending the camera in for maintenance.
