I'm running Windows Vista and Windows Media Player 11. I used to be able to play my HD M2t files no problem, but now they seem to be squashed and in a 4:3 ratio instead of 16:9. I have recently downloaded and installed Zoom Player, could this be the problem. I've tried uninstalling zoom, but the problems still the same. All my other files play ok.

Any advice would be most welcome.

Mark.

you might want to try out VLC....

Hi Ray,

I've used VLC but found the video quality isn't as good as WMP 11. I don't understand why I used to be able to play AVI and Mpeg files ok, but now the aspect ratio is all wrong and the video looks squashed.

Maybe the settings are setup wrong in the program....

There is a newer version out now....

might give it a shot...

another one that plays M2T files that I see many people use is

Media Player Classic

Windows Media Player is such a primitive player in some respects... hats off MPClassic, I use it for all my media player needs including QT (and except streaming media, never got that part to work).
