I moved instead of bying the Panasonic AG-HVX200 and am wondering if that is still the right solution to work with Avid Pro?

I probably have to upgrade my Avid version now. Sheesh. Anyway . . . I want to hit the ground running, . . . even if i run at a crawl. I understand that in 08 there is supposed to be an order of magnitude faster cpu's from Intel. Any tyhoughtsa on any of this as it pertains to Avid?

Niki,
I replied to your other posting, AVID does not support VISTA at this time. Some people are running it, but most aren't.

By the way, the forum frowns on double posting.

I usually get my tech questions answered at the Avid forum. Full of lots of knowledgeable people, but a lot of them are 'crusty old pros' who can be a bit short tempered when it comes to asking basic questions. That's for sure! They're helpful but downright cranky! I keep going there because I learn a lot, but most of the time I have to endure six or seven posts telling me how I should or shouldn't ask my original question. Only after rephrasing and asking "Pretty please" will anyone over there simply answer me.

I wouldn't mind this either. I was AVIDXP and switched to FCP because of the support, but I wouldn't mind keeping up in both.
