my camcorder connects via firewire 400 to my laptop pc.
for a project i am doing i would like to view the feed from the camera at full screen, or as near as.

is there a (cheap!) way to do this?

thanks in advance

the closest i have come is to use scenalyzer. i just want to be able to view what the camera is seeing on the pc as big as possible. any other options?

Your description is somewhat puzzling. Do you want to see what the camcorder feeds to your system while on playback or what you do on the timeline to an external monitor? In both cases all you have to do is connect a cable to the camcorder's video output and plug its other end to an external monitor's video input.

By the way, correct me if I'm wrong, but I think scenalyzer is a software that allows for timecode break capture or batch capture. How can that help with realtime video output on an external monitor?

Our Enosoft DV Processor will do exactly that in three mouse clicks. And if you are doing it for personal use then it is free.
