I am currently editing a long form doc utilizing HD footage (HVX200 DVCPROHD 720/60) and editing it into a 720x486 DV (Prores422) Final Cut Project. We are also using downrezzed Sony V1U footage (1080/60 HDV converted to ProRes422)

There are what appears to be about 6(?) black horizontal lines on the top and bottom of ALL the 720/60 footage from the HVX200. Has anyone encountered this before? The Sony V1U downrezzed SD footage is not exhibiting these same lines. Should I just apply a vertical scale adjustment to the HVX200 footage to make it fit seemlessly?

For the record, we have a Blackmagic Intensity Pro card and the project is set as Intensity DV NTSC 720x486 with the downrezzed 1080 footage treated as anamorphic.

Try posting a screen-shot or still-frame so we can see what you're referring to. I've not come across this issue but others may recognize it right away once they see the actual output.

I think I may have figured out the issue.

The FCP project is using the Intensity DV NTSC preset (720x486) and the downrezzed HVX200 720 footage is probably being scaled by FCP as 720x480.

I think those extra 6 vertical lines are what I'm seeing. I'm just going to do a minor vertical scale adjustment on final output of all 720 source material unless anyone has a better suggestion???
