Is there a way to apply a filter to muliple events at the same time? For example applying a filter to all the close up shots of a scene but not the other shots. I have done this before by moving those shots to a different track and applying the filter to that track, but wondered if there was a way to do it without creating new track. BTW using Vegas 6.

Dan,
I apply the filter to the first clip ("event"), right click on that event; select copy. Then, right click on each of the other clips and select "paste event attributes".
Hope this helps.

Moving them to another track is certainly an option - but maybe not the best one. Copying and pasting attributes is also an option. However, in this case I think I would just apply the effect to the MEDIA in the Project Media. Then it will be applied to that one piece of media no matter where on the timeline it is located.
