Does anyone know what macro lenses are available for the PD 150 or VX 2000 that will enable me a detailed shoot of social insect communities ( termites). The shooting can be done from a slight distance but would facilitate if I could be closer in.

Also, are there any attachments that will allow me into the termite colony. For example, a flexible head that could be maneuvered into a nest. Maybe that is another camera all together ?

For that kind of works you can use Achromatic Diopters

For more info about, give a look to Century Achromatic Diopters for PD-150 and VX-2000 http://www.centuryoptics.com/products/dv/diopters/diopters.htm

Hope it helps

A separate camera is probably a better idea. The lens and optical block can be very small and separated from the control electronics by a fair distance. Use your video camera to record the images.
