Putting together a show that will only be displayed on a 1080p flat screen.

There will be no HDV footage in the presentation, just photos, logos and text. The photos are all at very high res so that is not an issue.

My questions is if the TV is capable of 1080p would/could I use the standard 1080p30 project setting? Or could/would I use custom setting to get to 1920 x 1080 rather than the 1440 x 1080?

Thanks!

1920 will give you better quality. Either use Desktop Editing mode at 1920, or maybe Blackmagic's MotionJPEG 1920 editing mode (which you can download)

Thanks Mike. I was testing with 1920 desktop mode.

I should mention I will be running the show directly off a laptop via HDMI to the 1080p plasma.

The settings I am testing with are:

Desktop Mode
1920 x 1080
29.97 fps (should I be using 23.976 or 30.00)

Square Pixels (which keep it at 16:9) - HD Anamorpic 1080 takes it to 64:29?
Progressive Scan
30 fps drop-frame

Thanks for the help. A little new to me with the HDV settings in Premiere.
