I am heading down to L.A. for a vacation from snowy Canada and I was wondering if anyone could suggest a good brick and mortar store that sells higher-end television or film gear retail?

A west-coast B&H if you will. I know this might seem like a silly question but for someone that lives thousands of miles away I actually don't know where a town famous for TV and film sells the tools of the trade. :)

You can also find your day to day set gear at Film Tools in Burbank as well, but if you can drive the extra distance and time is on your side - Studio Depot in Hollywood is usually cheaper on buying clamps, flags gels and AC supplies.

Sammy's Camera is probably one of the most well known camera shops in town.
