Hey y'all,

Leaving aside all issues of resolution and softness and the "you don't want to use an SD lens on an HD camera, for Pete's sake" truisms...

Can anyone tell me whether the century optics 0.7 wide angle lens I bought to use with my DVX100 will physically fit on the front end of the HVX200 I'm about to rent? I.e. is the locking ring mechanism identical?

I'd call the rental house and ask, but it's Sunday...

Thanks,
S

No, the HVX has a larger filter diameter of 82mm whereas the DVX100 is only 72mm, hence the outer rings are also larger.

That would be correct.
