I have read the manual several times and can't figure this out.

I want to copy an event to DVD's for someone. I used Toast to burn the .mov files to DVDs. The problem is the entire event is 12 GB and 1 clip is 5.3 GB. I can't figure out how to split that 5.3GB clip so that it will fit on a DVD. I was able to burn the rest of the clips (.mov files) to DVDs but can't figure out this 1 5.3 GB clip.

Is there a way to do this in Imovie so that someone without Imovie can view the videos. I have read the instructions for IMovie and can't figure out how to do this.

Does this make sense? I have read the HG10 manual and can't find any help for this. I am completely new to videos on a computer, so thanks for any help that I can get.

Also, if there is a better way to back these up, I would love any help that I can get. If I can do it from IMovie, that would be great, too.

The easiest is probably to put it on a dual layer disc.

Never done a dual layer disk. Will it automatically record on both sides?

It’s actually 2 layers on one side. It’s a perfect idea as long as your DVD burner isn’t that old. The older ones can only burn single layer discs.
