Does anyone have recommendations on getting started learning AE 6.5? "AE for dummies" maybe? I don't have ANY experience, with any AE program. FYI, I'm using Matrox RT-X100 with PPro 1.5. Thanks in advance.

Hi David.
Just FYI, AE is now at version 8. Some of the best tutorials are available in video at lynda.com
If you want books, the Trish & Chris Meyer series are an excellent start. Check out also MotionWors http://www.motionworks.au for some excellent free tutorials.

If you want to start out a little slower, work with these first....

When AE 6 came out, Total Training introduced a series of DVD's that were priceless..Basically, they showed you how to use the program in realworld, realtime.
Nowadays, they seem to only come out in DVD ROM format, but nonetheless are a fantastic way to get started..
Look for the After Effects Essential series at TotalTraining.com

Good luck!!!
