What are the proper steps to get the footage taken from an HV20 camera onto a DVD and shown in HD upon playback in a dvd player? Is an HD compatible television and DVD player required. And burned upon HD DVD's?

How close to "movie quality" is 24p?

Are there any standard definition Canon camcorders (newest line) that have an external mic option?

Would shooting a short film on an standard definition Canon camcorder look incredibly amateur, or with proper light and sound it might be okay?

The HV10/20/30 can output standard def DV over firewire even though it was recorded as HDV on the tape. This yields very nice looking SD footage.
