O.K. I'm posting two caps. the first captured from xl-h1 to pp2 or pp3 and thats it. the second has been horizontally and vertically flipped. Everytime I do it I get this @$#% line at the top, like static. zoom in where the white arrow is to see it. anyone know what it is? thanks

I do not know what it is. I am no expert. I did enlarge the photo, and there is more than just the white line. to the left of the white line, is a dark grey/black color. it appears that it becomes thinner towards the left. the abberation continues over half way across the frame. it looks like the frame is not rotated a full 180 degrees, and there is a sliver of something else showing. as I said, I am not familiar with the problem, merely adding my 2 cents

thanks for the input. the white line moves back and forth quickly like static. i'm going to try it on final cut tomorrow and see if i get the same thing. but thanks for looking

It looks like a frame bleed of some kind(at least thats what I call them). If the picture or frame is off center and rotated 180 degrees, it may show at one position or the other. That is my opinion. Have you tried moving it vertically in the frame say 5-10 pixels?

I recommend scaling to 101% or cropping 1%.

its the flip. Don`t use it. Try rotating the footage instead. I used to have that problem all the time.

Nathan that was it! Everyone beware the image flip option, use rotation. I don't even care what was going wrong now. I'm just glad to have a solution, thank you.

no problem, its been an issue since premiere 5 i believe...can you imagine i didn`t find the reason until PPro (first one) Talk about frustration! Glad its solved for you :)
