In the settings/preferences of Apple's Compressor App, do I have the option of exporting MPEG2 streams using a two-pass VBR? If so, what does this mean when I bring it into DVD Studio Pro? I have the option to adjust this in Studio Pro, so will it re-encode twice? I need the absolute best quality to go from FCP to DVDSP. Thanks.

Start with the "DVD - Highest Quality" presets (or something along those lines), then adjust the avergage and maximum bitrates to your needs. The actual bandwidth will vary (limited by the maximum you specified), but the filesize will be predictable through the average bitrate you gave it.

When you import the resulting .m2v file into DVD Studio, there will be no additional encoding going on. DVD Studio will use the file "as is".
