Jim announced a few days ago that the good PC workflows, like Cineform, will be coming out this Fall (http://www.reduser.net/forum/showthread.php?t=10057). The Cineform requirements (http://www.cineform.com/products/Aspect-Prospect.htm#Sys_Requirements) will be easy to predict because you can do 4K film scans on Cineform right now. It will depend on your needs and desires. 2K averages around 20-30 MB/s in filmscan1, so multiply that by four to do 4K. Then scale up from there depending on your tracks, effects, etc. |
