I just directed a video using the HD100U and now need to transfer the footage to a more universal pro format to be compatible with the rest of our finishing platforms (Quantel, Discreet, Avid) .
My options are
a) capture via firewire into a Final Cut system and export some type of image sequence (.tga, .tiff, etc.)
b) transfer directly from the component outputs into an HD D5 deck
I hear the Apple Pro Res 422 codecs are great for acquisition, but I can't import those into our Quantels, so I need another option.
Since I am new to this camera I need to know how to get the most out of the footage. What is the best method to transfer this footage without losing any more quality?
