View Full Version : Working with different frame rates

I had a cheerleading competition shoot recently and will be working on the footage soon.

Without thinking of possible editing issues, during the shoot I increased the frame rate on one of the two cameras from the normal 60fps to 90 thinking it would better capture the action.

What if any problems might I encounter as a result? Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance...

Hi Jeff. What camera are you using? Not many cams will allow you to change the frame rate to 90fps. You sure you don't mean shutter speed?

thanks Richard, you are correct, of course....I'm talking shutter speed!

Higher shutter speeds won't affect your edit in any way.

Of course, they do affect the look of motion in your video (less motion blur), and this can be particularly evident when doing slow motion.
