I have HD200 and DR HD100 and edit in Edius and Vegas.
I shot always 50p to m2t to firestore and everything was fine. Once I got a file, that could not be opened in both softwares, but could be played in windows media player. When I played it, I found some error ,maybe in compression. Looked exactly like a drop out on tape.

Now, I started to shoot in 25p a lot, and I got 6 corrupted files of 120 total. Next day, 2 bad of 50 total files.

That is strange, becouse I considered the firesore reliable and had good experience with it.

I tried to convert the bad files with something. TMPEG opened it and converted it and the result is better the the original bad file played in media player.

Somebody experienced something similar?

I may shoot 285p to mov to test it, but these occassional things are hard to test.....

Hello Petr
try formatting the DR HD 100
This should clean up the DR 100 drive and get rid of any any corrupt files
JUST A THOUGHT

i contacted FOCUS ASK IF IT would be ALL RIGHT TO CONNECT MY DR HD100 WITH MY IDX BATT. THE SAID IT WOULD OVER LOAD AND RUIN DR HD 100 BATT
THEY SAID ORDER THE 180 MIN BATTERY (ASYF 1040-1)

I power my DR-HD100 already for more than a year now through my IDX (Swit) battery. It even charges the internal battery of the DR-HD100.
I don't have the manual right now, but the input voltage of the DR-HD100 is not exceeded by the voltage of the IDX battery.
This way I never worry about having not enough battery power to work with the DR-HD100.

I unplug the DR-HD100 when I stop shooting for the day, as it otherwise will drain my IDX battery. As the charging circuit of the DR-HD100 stays active otherwise.
With the HD251 I don't much discharge when turning off the camera, and leaving the battery on.
With the HD100 it was different as it had a IDX adapterkit, which has a build-in DC/DC conversion circuit inside the adapter. It runs as long as the battery is connected. So after a few days the battery was discharged due to this circuit alone.

Thanks MARC:

I have a 14.8v/8ah/120 Wh
(batteries4Broadcast ) plus 2 idx endura v batteries
just don't want to damage DR HD 100
Do you think 180 min batt is worth $ 189.00 plus i may need a new cradle $39.00
