I have one and it is fine as a fill light and effective up to about 3-4 feet.

Dont buy that though have a look on e-bay and get yourself the same from china for $12.

They are exactly the same.

Thank you for the heads up!
I don't think 3-4 feet is what I was looking for. I might be too close to people at a wedding reception.

I hope this LED light performs much better than 3-4 feet:

It will light beyond 3/4 feet but it depends on the ambient lighting, put it this way if its that dark it will help and for $12 its a bargain.

Its too cheap to pass up!

Thanks for the advise!!!

To use a phrase from our american cousins "Its a no brainer"

Mine arrived in less than a week and as said buy it and try it, if it doesnt work to your satisfaction then you have a nice camping light.

Here in the US we say: "No Shit Sherlock!"

I just ordered one for the heck of it. Once I get it I will give an update with the HD1000.

I found this 2 years ago, but I have to warn you that it is too blue. You need a CTO to correct the color. But you can go wrong with the price.

The miclight is however is corrected LED to 5600k but you pay the extra $ for it.

Change your WB preset... that can make the cheap-o light look pretty good, as it's very "blue", but not that far off the typical "outdoor" WB preset from my experience.
