The FAQ was pretty interesting and informative.

It uses SDI HD not Firewire which is why it wont work with the GY-HD 100. At $5000 it doesnt make sense for me but it does for broadcast guys. The best part about this product is its a sign of things to come. Id like to know how much the JVC box is going to be.
