What is the maximum length that HD-SDI Cable can be run? Would a 500ft run be fine or would it loose too much signal?

Sorry if this is in the wrong catagory Doug Okamoto April 19th, 2008, 07:22 PM It depends on type of signal and wire gauge. You can check here: http://www.extron.com/company/article.aspx?id=lvdg_ts Andrew Fraser April 19th, 2008, 07:42 PM so 285ft maximum acording to that site, or 328 acording to the Pansonic site. Andrew Fraser April 19th, 2008, 07:58 PM this should do, acording to www.whirlwindusa.com/ftp/tech/beldtb65.pdf using 7731A cable a 540ft length can be acheived (page 16) Tom Majeski April 19th, 2008, 08:01 PM 300 ft is the general rule. Though sometimes I get a week signal that won't make it that far. A reclocking DA has saved me a few times on longer runs - 500 ft. http://www.aja.com/html/products_converters_HD10DA.html |
