Hi Leo:

Interesting, I have never even heard of these mics or the brand. What, are you frequenting all of the Dead and Phish taping boards to find out about these? ;-)

Would be interesting to hear a test.

Looks similar to an Oktava 012. There is a web site out there for modified Oktava mics. I have 2 012s and cost about $100 for the pair.

Heh, heh. Been doing research on mics (of course I read your awesome in-depth review and downloaded all the files). Apparently the founder, Chris Johnson, has built quite a reputation for modding recorders and mics over the years and just started coming out with his own line. He uses only super high quality components and seems to be getting very good reviews from the early adopters. Haven't run into any filmmakers using them yet, but they're supposed to be better performing than the AKG Blue Line or the C480/CK63 mics.

Yes, they do look similar to the Oktava 012's. Wonder if they perform better for wind and handling noise?

http://www.busmanaudio.com/

They are Chinese makeovers...

And I'm betting the AKGs are better.
