any recommendations for a glide-cam or steady-cam to use with the GL2...
Something around the 200 - 300 $ price range.... if one exists :-)

Hi Stephen,

Hands down for your price range you are looking @ the Glidecam2000. The GL2 is nice and small and light so you could shoot with that setup for long periods of time.

Hope this helps.

Silly question: do you think the Glidecam 2000 would be as steady as say, a monopod, when just standing still?

I saw some videos with this and now I'm kind of interested...

I agree with Michael. This is what I use and it would be perfect for your camera. Personally I can keep the glidecam very steady when standing still, but not for long periods of time and that's really not the purpose of it. If you are going to be standing still a lot and not moving, you would want the monopod to put the camera on. Your arm is going to get very tired trying to hold a steadicam in place. For movement though, that's your best bet!

find one.. ? glidecam or monopod ? you could always put up a Want to buy ad in the classifieds. Seems like someone is always selling a glidecam.
