Hi,
Can anyone recommend a safe marker for CD-R labeling that dries quickly and doesn't rub off from a finger print wipe?
Thanks,

Sharpie is the trusted brand in permanent markers. My favorite kind for marking on CDs has a medium tip on one end of the pen and a fine tip on the other end.

Thanks. I've been using Sharpie's (3000 series, common in
office supplies) for years. However,
someone told mentioned that I should stay away from alcohol-based markers such as Sharpie's. What marker attributes are
bad for CD-R labeling?
TDK makes one specifically for CD/DVD marking, but I'm not sure what's different about it.

I've heard permenant marker ink can penetrate the surface of the CD/DVD and possibly corrupt the data layer of the disc. I've used them in the past and have since stopped, but haven't had a problem with any discs I labled this way.
They make pens that are designed to lable CDs/DVDs permenantly and safely.
