The signal to noise is better on the HVX200A, noticeable, so that means it is at least 3db. The low light performance is about a 1/2 to 2/3s of a stop better and there is an improved circuit for clamping on the Smear that can occur on a bright light source. Plus the wide angle is a smidge wider by about 2 mm.
