Has anyone else found the wireless remote does not work on their EX1? (Yes, I enabled it in the menu and checked the battery). All it does is zoom in all the way when I press "T" and nothing else does anything. Not even "W"

I'm wondering if they sent the wrong one. It's the RM-F300.

Are you sure you're aiming from around the front of camera? I used it like once and remember you really gotta aim it. Not very well designed feature really.

It seems like it was designed for one person ENG use where reporter has the remote and is standing in front of camera.

Yep - y'all were right. Have to use it from the front - and even then it has to be pretty close. Duh.

since you cannot use the Sony remote from the back, are there any lens controllers that also focus the fujinon lens?

i know the varizoom controllers only zoom.

Do you think there's any way to put a tiny reflector in front of the IR receptor so you could trigger it from behind? I was trying to do a shot once with the camera locked down on a tripod but I couldn't trigger the camera without being in every shot.

some folks found out that you can use a small fiber optics cable mounted to the front at the sensor...

Great idea, Ray. I'll have to try that.
