I just wander how much money will be enough to spend on a tripod.
I really wanted to get the LibecLS38 Tripod System but since this is not the only thing I need I figured I should go with something less expensive like one of the Bogen / Manfrotto set from B&H kits like the Bogen / Manfrotto BO190XDB503HD 190XDB Pro Tripod with 503HDV Fluid Video Head

and then I thought about going with the 501 HDV head instead to save $100.00.
Any gaudiness will be appreciated
Thanks in advanced

I have them both...spend the extra $100, it is worth it.

you won't be sorry you did. The 503 head is so smooth it makes shooting a breeze.

Thank you for both replies.
I just wander what do you think about the kit itself http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=workaround.jsp&A=details&Q=&sku=523080&is=REG

I noticed that the maximum hight is only 57 inches. Doesn't that seem rather short?
My manfrotto goes almost 8.5 feet, but I have noticed that it is almost impossible to get a comparable tripod lately. Am I the only one who sees the value of getting a tripod that can get over peoples heads?
Even the really expensive ones usually only go about 5-6 feet.

Is it really that much smoother? Anything else about it that stands out?
