View Full Version : Question about HDlink, Cineform in Vegas 7

Hello,

I've shot a scene in 30f as it was the easiest way for us to get rid of the rolling bands on TV monitors that were in the scenes. I've noticed that when downloading the footage to my computer through HDLink it gave me the option to convert 30p into 24 p. I checked the option. It also says that the footage will be 20 % slower. And yes, it is in fact slower.
Any idea how I can put back the right speed in the converted footage, which is now in 24p?

My other question:

Since I've chosen to work in the Cineform codec (3.8 in HDV Neo) each time I work on my clips I should save them (render them) in the Cineform Codec, right? I should not save as Vegas project as it seems that it'd defeat the point of using the Cineform Codec, correct?
Thanks
Larry

No answer. Let me guess.
Nobody knows, or I'm really screwed, uh?

Larry,

Maybe this question would be better asked on the Cineform forum.

I'd like to know the answer myself, although off the top of my head I can't see why saving the project in Vegas would cause any quality problem - might be wrong, but I don't think it does anything except save the Vegas files that reference the original footage.
