I will be embarking on a HD project and I'm in the middle of researching what I might or might not need to pull this off. Currently, this is my set-up:

POWER MAC G5 DUAL 2.3 GHZ
OSX 10.4.11
RAM MEMORY 6GB
GRAPHICS CARD RADEON X800XT
FINAL CUT 5

We will be shooting with the HVX200 using P2 cards. I know that I need to look at the workflow still. But to start off, I'm looking to see if I have at least the computer set-up to handle the footage for editing, previewing, etc. Any help (even if it's a check list) will be much appreciated. I've mainly used my set-up for editing my Canon XL2 footage.

I just did it on the same system today and I didn't have any problems. A tad slow when scrolling along the timeline but it edited seemlessly w/o render

You will need the most recent update to FCP5 in order to log and transfer the MXF files.
