Just curious if anyone here is using it for their mts conversion for PPCS3 workflow (with AspectHD). And if so, what settings/output format do you use? I tried the Elecard demo and found it to be not as user-friendly as TMPGEnc. VoltaicHD (PC) works fine, though there are few customization settings. So, currently I am converting MTS files from the Canon HF100 to AVIs (CFHD codec) with TMPGEnc 4.0 Xpress. And the resulting AVI ends up being 10x (!!!) the size of the MTS file. There must be a better way...

I converted .m2ts files using Cineform HDLink and the resultant files are also huge. AVC files are highly compressed. The conversion files prove that!!

Using Canopus AVCHD file converter to Canopus HQ resulted in a 44G file from an 8G AVCHD from my SR11. It thus converted a 1 hour 9 min file in 45 mins on my Q9450 quad core, 8G RAM, Vista 64. Total transfer to PC and conversion took about 1 hour 15 mins.

Ron, how did the picture look after conversion relative to the original using the HQ file and on what display did you view them on?
