View Full Version : Dirt Inside Lens

I've got a DVC60 that has been serving me extremely well over the past few years but it's gotten a little too much junk blown at it while filming airshows. Its not on the outside of the lens because that gets cleaned after every couple shoots. The only thing I can think of is that somehow the dirt got inside the lens. Its been causing focus problems at wide angles, especially with cloudy skies. Is there a way to clean it out or does it need to go to the shop?

Thanks in advance,

Christopher Williams

I suppose you could get lucky blowing compressed air through the body but it's not what I'd do. I'd send it in for service- they can clean up the heads while they're at it. It's not a bad investment on a camera that's served you for so long already.
