Ok, im still new at this but I have now managed to get footage from my canon A1 camcorder onto my pc using roxio creator 10 package.
The problem is I now have 100gb clips for 1 minute files.
How do I compress these clips so that I can pass them over the net or host them on youtube etc ?

Strange, for DV you should get 25 mbits/sec = 13 GB per hour of footage.
