I have a really strange occurrence. I am not sure if it is the HV20 or Vegas.
I shot a wedding, with two HV20's. Same settings, everything the same. When I go to capture the wedding, 5 out of 8 tapes are 4:3 and the others 16:9. It makes no sense to me. All captured the same way. All recorded the same way.
So here is what I discovered. At the very beginning of the tapes (maxell, brand new), it jumps from 4:3 to 16:9 in the capture preview window.
If I capture from the very beginning of these certain tapes, it stays 4:3 even though the preview shows clearly 16:9 (after the jump). So as a work around, I have to capture about 2 seconds in so that the preview capture window stays on 16:9 (without the jump from 4:3). Weird or what? Is this Vegas or an HV20 issue? Anyone else had this?
Do you think these might be refurbished maxell tapes that have been blanked by maxell?
