View Full Version : Would you buy a .8 lens for the EX-1 or put the Money toward a Letus Extreme?

I was on a shoot today and a wide angle lens would have been great. Shooting inside a house is tough with the standard EX-1 lens. Looking at prices of the adapters, would it be better to buy a Letus Extreme and some 35mm lens that would be more flexible? I know there is a vast cost difference between the two. If you were going to go with a wind angle lens adapter, what would you go with and why?
Thanks in advance.

If you needed something quick and (relatively) cheap, the .8 looks pretty good to me and would be a lot less fuss to set up and use. Then again, I'm just envious of all the folks who have the Letus adapters. If I wasn't so broke, I'd buy one for all the Nikon glass I have laying around. ;-)

35mm Adapters can be a bit cumbersome (esp. handheld) and you don't mention that you're looking for shallower DoF, which is the main 'thing' these adapters offer.

If the 0.8 works for what you need to do, it would be a much simpler - and therefor better - solution.
