Can anyone lead me to anyone else who can give me more specifics to the specs of this underwater housing made by Pana. Their websites say nothing and none have a picture to even see the housing. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I can't offer any info on the Panasonic housing, but Equinox has a housing (the ProPak 8) that will fit the DVX100.

I have used the ProPak with the DVX100 and a couple other cams and it works great for what it is. I would be interested in the Panasonic housing though, if it can do what I need. My only complaints aobut the Equinox housings is they're the standard tube/barrel type and lack some control over the cam... On the other hand, they can go as deep as I would need for SCUBA diving and they are very rugged and easy to maintain. From what I' have seen of several of Panasonic's housings, they wouldn't have the depth capabilities and while they would fit the camera better and be more stylish, I doubt they would be as durable. Probably more expensive too.

Either way, I'd be interested to know more... I would like to buy an underwater housing for the DVX so I don't have to keep renting one, but then again, I've only shot with it twice in the water and once of those times was just for fun.

The Panasonic housing and the ProPak 8 are the same thing, Panasonic just as usual rebranded it.

Well, that clears that up... Thanks, Jarred!

no problem. It's a pretty solid housing, as good as your gonna get in this price range. You can get a cheap plastic bag type housing, but there is no hope in hello that i would trust putting my camera underwater in one of these bags.
