Hey guys,

I was just going through the shooting modes on my GY-HD101E, and was wondering if somebody can please explain to me what HDV-SD50P is?

Is this 16:9 SD (720 x 576) @ 50FPS Progressive??

And to edit this in Premiere Pro 2.0, what settings will I have to use??

P.S. The main reason I am asking about HDV-SD50P is because I want to shoot something that will be later made as a slow-motion shot in post-production...and if this can shoot 50FPS progressive...then this will be my best bet to get smooth slow-motion scenes later...right?

Thank you!

Bump.

Would love to know how to capture HDV-SD50P in Premiere CS3!

Thanks!

I think it's the same camera as GY-HD100, but PAL version. You are correct, this setting is 16x9 480 (in NTSC zone) scanned at 60 fps (progressive scan). I don't think the quality is HD, but it makes great footage for any slow motion edits.
In FCS2 I used DV 60fps setting to capture, so in PAL I think it would make 50.

Hey Robert,

Thanks for the reply, appreciate it!

I want to edit in in Premiere (I have CS3), and was going to use the PAL DV 16:9 setting (Progressive scan), the only thing is, the frame rate is set to 25FPS. I tried changing it to 50FPS, but there seems to be no way to change it??

John, maybe post your question on CS3 forum. I am using FCS2 and even though I did some minor edits with Premiere I don't know it enough.
