So...I had my first paid job with the EX1 the other day. It went real well and the creative director really liked how I could play back takes immediately. And the EX1 looked incredible for it being 11:45am (ugh...) and not a cloud in the sky.

Ironically (but not surprising) I had to deliver everything on tape in 4:3...but that worked out fine. For one of the interviews I put the subject a little too far on one side and easily corrected it in post when I dubbed it to tape. Gotta love HD for those purposes!

In the near future I may be shooting something that will air nationally in HD. I'll let you all know if/when that happens so you can see how the 'lil old EX1 looks over the airwaves.

Unfortunately I can't upload a video sample due to it being a "work for hire" situation but I can give a few screengrabs.

All these shots were recorded between 12:30 and 1:30pm, on a bright sunny day. I've done no color correction or any post-processing, these are screengrabs from Clip Browser and converted to jpeg. The EX1 did very well IMO!
