Has anyone bought the equipment and rigged up the EX-3 as their main studio camera?
We are trying to figure out if it is a viable and MUCH cheaper option then regular HD studio cams.
Thanks

You can connect a remote control panel but tally and return picture might require a bit of gaffer tape. These are however crucial in a successful multicamera shoot; performers need to know which camera is on air and the cameramen need to see what others are shooting.
A studio cam would have these plus intercom, of course with a bit heavier price tag.

I don't see why not with a little ingenuity. Take those saved dollars and build a nice coffee break room to massage the operators' increased needs.
