Hi
I am using Ulead VideoStudio 7 for editing and then exporting back to the camera the finished DV format via Firewire ofcourse.
I have done this several times before with no problem at all. Lately though after a few minutes of recording, I notice on the LCD monitor of the camera that sometimes the video becomes jerky and distorted. I use the TRV80 but it does the same thing with my TRV17. I use Windows XP. Anyone else had a similar experience?

Can Page File Size in Virtual Memory has something to do with it?
I have 512 MB of RAM, and recently I have changed this to 1024, min and max. I did this after I read this

http://desktopvideo.about.com/library/weekly/aa041503a.htm

The point is I don't remember what was the default ones to change it back. I use Windows XP prof.

It looks like the harddisk cannot keep up with the demand. Are
you using a seperate harddisk for your footage? Have you
defragmented it?

Hi Rob
Thanks for the reply.

My operating system and my captured and edited videos are on the same disk. Is this a problem?

It might be the problem. Make sure you have defragmented the
whole disc. If possible test it with another harddisk to see if that
removes your problem.

Make sure you don't have any other applications running including
a virus scanner, internet connection + firewall, etc. etc.
