Help! I upgraded to 8.0c and now when I click on a clip in the explorer window it willnot preview. You can hear the audio but in the preview window all you get is the last frame that was viewed in the timeline. if you open a new session and click on a clip in explorer with nothing in the timeline all you see is black. I can hear the audio but no video preview. I uninstalled and reinstalled, and I get the same thing. Am I missing anything? Help me Obi Wan Kenobi.... You're my only hope......

Go to trimmer and unclick the 'show video moniter' on the top/right side.
It's one of Vegas hidden new 'long waiting for' features :)

From the "Read-me" file for 8.0c (I know, nobody ever reads those):

* Enhanced Trimmer window with integral video monitor, separate external monitor, Enable Timeline Overwrite, and Fit to Fill modes.

When the Show Video Monitor button in the Trimmer window is selected, video that you preview from the Vegas Explorer and Media Manager windows is played back in the Trimmer. Because the Trimmer is placed in the same window dock as the Explorer and Media Manager, you will not see your video preview. To preview Explorer and Media Manager video, you can drag the Trimmer to a new dock group, or you can turn off the Show Video Monitor button to preview in the Video Preview window.
