Hey guys, I know the what follow foucs is if you asked me to define it, but I was looking at century optics follow focus ring for the dvx100, but how do I use It? (sorry guys, didn't mean to ask the dumbest question). Are there any markings, do I need another acessory for it?
Thanks a lot
Neil

well the main benifit is you can use a focus puller nob to have an assistant pull focus for you.. its a little wheel that attatched and makes your focus adjustable from the side. With out it though, you can use the ring to mark off your focus points, so you can switch hit marks pretty easy.

Thanks Jarred, Couldn't I get by with a makeshift ring?

yes, i actually have the century ring, but for the last shoot we used a ring that was made at machine shop that cost about $30, worked well with out Arri mattebox and follow focus setup just fine. The century is nice because it locks out at 50 and has a white ring for you to mark your focus.. or more importantly the assistant that is pulling focus for you.
