I need to find a relatively cheap($40) shock mount for my new Me66 that will fit in my vx2000 shoe correctly. unfortunately, i need it super quick for my wedding in 8 days. Any experienced suggestions? thanks, again

funny you should mention that. i have that exact item...but it doesn't seem to fit properly on the vx2000. is there any assembling that i should know about beyond sliding the mount into the shoe. what holds it in?

I thought that has a standard shoemount that fits in any camcorder. I may be wrong since I don't have that item. Try to search at B&H and maybe you will find a more appropriate mount to fit your needs.

Shure makes a similar model for about $40 that is bigger and has a better mount IIRC.

and the shure is good for the vx2000?
I'm frustrated because i thought that the shock mount would just slide in everything would be tidy. But it slides in...and slides right out. I must be missing something. Is there something that should hold it in? I'm thorougly confused on why there is o% stability.

Here is one that will work. Has lock for the hotshoe

Trew Audio

This one, the Shure, requires that you get a hotshoe adapter for it

Either one is under $60

If you're handy, you can make one for nothing that works just as well. On the quick side, a piece of PVC tube [type use for sink drains seems to be about right for ME66]. Use O-rings for shock rubber band-type part. Screw on a mount and you're ready to go. Or, get some metal and weld one up. ....or just buy one for $50+

i ended up taking your advice Mike and going thru trewaudio. It worked perfectly AND even more importantly, the phone staff was extremely helpful. As opposed to B&H which was more concerned about their own business than helping me with their product.
thanks for the precise and quick suggestion, Mike,...it really came thru for me.
