I received my Kensington Model# 33407,- 7 in 1 express card media reader and SanDisk Ultra 2- 16 gb SDHC card today.

I installed the combo into my EX-1. Menu asked me to Format media. Which i did. No problem at all. Works perfectly.

Here is the problem. When i went to close the door on the EX-1, The Kensington/SanDisk combo would NOT allow it. The SanDisk card extended out to far.

So, i laid both the Sony SxS 8 gig card and Kensington 7 in 1 adapter side by side. Both are of the same length. Meaning both measure 2 inches and 30/32 of an inch long.

BUT, when i place the SanDisk Ultra 2 card into the Kensington adapter, the total length of the combo becomes 3 and 1/8th inches long.

The SanDisk Ultra 2 increases the over all length of the Kensington adapter by 3/16th of an inch.

Soooo, My EX-1's SxS door will not slide closed. Yet the Card combo works fine. Anyone else experience this?

It's well documented that the SDHC combo won't allow you to close the EX1 door.

Thank you Alister. Maybe i misread the mega SDHC thread. It was my understanding the EX-1 door would close with the SDHC combo.

No, the EX3 door closes, the EX1 door does not.
