hi all, didnt know what forum to put this in but i will be doing this using PrPro CS3. For some reason my cheap playback camcorder (TRV33) won't recognize my tape as being recorded with DVCAM (it usually does) and therefore is playing the footage at a slower speed. How would I bring it back to the regular speed? Audio is not important if that matters. Thanks!

There are several ways: one is to place the clip on the timeline, right-click it and choose Speed/Duration. Others say that Time Remapping produces better results; to do that place the clip on the timeline and expand your view so you have the Clip Effect drop-down (it will say "Opacity") visible next to the clip name. You may need to enable keyframes (over at the left end of the video track) to see the little arrow. Drop down the arrow and select Time Remapping > Speed, and then push up the "Rubber Band" -- the thin yellow line that stretches across the clip -- until it's at the speed you want.

A third way is to just right click the clip in the project window and select speed/duration.

Others will have their favorite ways.

I would go to Interpret Footage and experiment with Frame Rate.

Yeah, I thought of that after I left the office this morning.... probably a much better way to attack this issue...
